This class will give you an overview of labor and delivery, comfort techniques and post-partum care. This class also includes a tour of the Labor & Delivery suites. Daytime classes are offered Wednesday mornings, May 14, 21, 28 and June 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The next series of night classes will be held July 7, 14, 21, 28, Aug. 4 and Aug. 11 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Another special Saturday class will be held June 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. These classes fill up fast. Pre-registration is required. For more information, call 580-6333.

HOPE Cancer Support Group

The topic will be “Cancer and You” with Sue Hall and Lee Hall, PHD. Anyone with cancer is encouraged to attend. Research shows that emotional support from families, friends and others who have experienced cancer firsthand is crucial to the well being of someone living with the illness. Feel Better is a free program offered the third Monday of each month by the American Cancer Society and Blue Ridge HealthCare to help women undergoing cancer treatment learn to cope with appearance related side effects of treatment.
